URL
The URL validation checks the contents of a specified server variable to determine if its value is delimited by 2 or more periods (.). It can be configured to check for specific protocols preceding the domain, disallow their entry, or ignore them. It can also be configured to accept blank entries.

Set the configuration options and click OK to complete configuration of the validation within the Server Validation dialog.

The following options are available for configuration of the URL validation:
- Select how the validation will check against protocols. The following options are available:
- Force protocol(s): enter the protocols that must precede any domain specification. Multiple entries must be comma-separated. (e.g. http://, https://)
- Ignore protocols: does not check if a domain entered is preceded by a protocol.
- Don't allow protocols: Checks that domains entered are not preceded by the characters ://
- Allow blank entry: configures the validation to allow blank entries or not allow them.
